I agree. I’m super thankful that they share their translations, but honestly I couldn’t give a fuck about their little comments. The notes don’t add much and they disrupt the story. Because of that I trained myself to ignore the small writing haha
sometimes it’s hard bc they’re moments when they are legit (like they’re explaining a korean term or something). Why can’t they add their personal thoughts at the very end like other translation groups? eh whatever it’s not a big deal, but I agree with op - the comments are annoying
typo correction: there* are moments
I sometimes hate their notes too, but look at these , they're really tiny and unnoticable, I've seen much bigger notes all over the place so i'm actually thankful for these
And when you decide to do something idk like translating chapters yourself then you can not put notes. Until then be fucking thankful someone decided to this for you for free.
Indeed. I appreciate when the author's comments are about relevant things to the story, such as different terms that don't really translate. It's hard to ignore them when they're just personal opinions, and it makes it overall quite distracting to read.
And on a lighter note, the actual comments, as well, are pretty tasteless.
i 100% agree sometimes the comments are just small little things that are ok but a lot of the times its at unecesary and inappropriate times. its like when ur watching a movie and someone wont stop talking lol but these ones arent that bad.
but the art really! i actually loved the art immediately idk i guess bc its clean and simple
I don't understand why some translators loves to be annoying and pester us with their irrelevant notes all over the place like this. I'm thankful for the translation itself, but the comments are irritating.
As for the series, it looks quite promising. The art had me slightly sceptical in the beginning, but I'm glad I stuck with it because now I find it quite charming. There's good humour, and it's a refreshing read.
