I've noticed that yaoi tends to have certain tropes/fetishes that become insanely popular in cycles. So you'll see a flood of ones about restaurant owners or detectives, or stalking or bondage come out at the same time. Not sure if they are all being published at the same time, or if it's the translators getting interested in the topic and picking manga with that theme published over a period of time. Seems like stalkers is the current one though, for better or worse.
