Kindly consider that maybe Chise isn't the Damsel in Distress some of us so clearly imagines she is, thank you

Some of us be raging at our dear girl Chise here for refusing Elias' (and Ruth's) help but also fail to completely understand that her trust was broken by the people she loves the most. Also, come the fuck on, she has the right to accept or refuse anything she's being offered with and make decisions for herself especially if those things concern her. That's huge progress from her doll-like-do-whatever-you-want-with-me state during the first few chapters! Most importantly, she ain't some frickin' damsel in distress (thank fucking god), SHE IS NOT. She's a slay vega about to fuck Cartaphilus' ass (read: send them to hopefully, eternal rest at last) and unleash her righteous indignation to her husband and brother/familiar after, one crisis at a time. So, if you want the "boy be stupid af in the name of love, girl gets angry and leaves but runs into trouble-oh noes-, guy goes on a mad chase to save girl, girl miraculously forgives guy and lets herself be saved, they make up and kiss or whatevs-profess their undying love-all's well that ends well" shit, kindly search for other titles to read, there must be plenty out there to satiate your palate.

    THANK YOU!!! AHHHH
After what Ruth and Elias did behind her back, it would be weird for Chise to forgive them just like that. She is changing for the better and is taking control of her life. Both cared about Chise but doesn't care what she wants for herself. That's just them caring for the being that Chise in their mind and not Chise herself. They could have gone to her to talk about how you are going to be sad if Chise keeps going like this but nooo, they just agree to kill Chise best friend.
