I think that Jaeha was kind of shocked, not because of what she was saying but the fact that finally he heard something he has always know from someone he actually loved and cared. I mean, maybe I'm not making so much sense here, but he's a very complex characther, with so many issues and the fact that he always feel it that he can't really fill someone expectations about him, his biggest fear was actually confirmed and that kind of thing cornered him now. When she said that "don't make the exact same thing with the person you're dating" I think it's a trigger for him, the fact that he can actually lost someone for good if he doesn't do something about it.
In a way, he really should feel thankful with Hyesun because it's like "ey, yeah, I know I've always been such a pain but thank you for telling me because now maybe I should do something about it, right?" It was her roll in Jaeha's life, being that slap on his face, his wake up call.

Well, now you're saying something that maybe makes me disagree with something I've just said. He has always know that he was such a pain but by the wrong reason... like he said for example, to Eunho "I'm doing this because I don't want to hurt you" it's just "I'm doing this because I'm weak and I could get hurt with avoiding to hurt you".
Well I'm done trying to explain the guy, I'm just a little bit thankful with Hyesun for being his wake up call.

Hyesun was so brutally honest that I felt 100 arrows crossing my heart (poor Jaeha). On the other hand, Jaeha needed to hear it, for sure.
