Got it, nice analysis there. I guess it's just off putting that it suddenly went dark when there was no indication of this kind of tone in the previous chapters, even in the 3rd chapter, it isn't that dark toned even after Chiaki was bound up.
After reading some of the comments saying chapter 3 doesn't make any sense anymore. It made sense to me since Chiaki asked for it in the first place when he said "I want to see you being desperate". Therefore, Azumi tying Chiaki together with him was him acting desperate even though he doesn't show it, in an attempt to keep Chiaki with him whether Chiaki liked it or not. If Azumi didn't do this.Chiaki would've treated that one moment as a one night stand perhaps and just run to other random guys.
