I think the artists/authors are under contract, so they probably think/hope they will get back to work at some point (bring them more money again). so the artists aren't able to completely walk away yet.
It might be a contract that allows lezhin to keep all the author's work and get money from it even though the author is against it.
Is the autho protesting against lezhin too? If yes then why are they still, advertising her work on their English homepage
