Exactly! I don't feel sorry for him at all. It's absurd to start thinking/feeling otherwise just because of a few pages.
I guess we know a little about Yule's past and emotions(?) now. I don't think he actually killed his mother, but that does not change the fact that he fucked up Kyung-Soo's life.
