I really dislike the "straight seme but only gay for this certain uke" trope
"Oh but he can't be with me, he's straight..."
If you are a man who's phisically attracted to another man, I have news for you: you're either gay or bi, making them say otherwise is kind of weird hahah ://

Some people don’t view it in those terms. I don’t necessarily identify as straight, gay, or bi, because I don’t care about the sex or gender of the person. I care about the person. I’m not alone in thinking this, but then again, you’re not alone in thinking the way you do. For you and others, a definition may work. That’s super cool. For me and others, those definitions don’t really fit who we are. And that’s super cool, too.

like Ezra miller is pansexual and plus yaoi is based in japan. I'm pretty sure half the population don't even know gay people exist, nonetheless pansexual or bisexual.

Also no one is 100% straight or gay. That's too much for some one to be 100% guaranteed. There is a Kinsey scale for everyone. Yeah people don't act on same sex relationship cause of shitty heternormative society (╯°Д °)╯╧╧(thank god its changing now). But it doesn't mean that rare people don't happened to have relationship like this. I think there is more bisexual people in this world than actual straight people. I always thought I was straight, I didn't know anything else that existed than being straight. But I always valued personality over gender and as I got older, I couldn't understand why people even related those two and made it seem like gender was a big deal. I also believe even tho we were born gay, there is also environmental factors that play it as well. Look at Romans back in the day, homosexuality was so open(gladiators life (๑•ㅂ•)و✧) and a man and a woman were forbidden cause it was relationship between a slave and a master. Its only cause of British empire and the countries ruling under British laws that shit changed. (╬ ̄皿

Sorry long rant ! I was frustrated and didn't mean any offense (honestly), labels are good to identify but they are bad when we limit ourselves.

Fun fact: Doumeki from Saezuru Tori Wa Habatakanai is demi-sexual. I think he was straight but then he became traumatized from his experience and in Honto Yajuu, the seme seems like a pansexual to me rather than straight. He never came across straight to me.

Guys, I really didn't mean to say that if you aren't either 100% gay, bi or straight there is no place for you. You can have any kind of sexual orientation, even if it doesn't fit inside what society considers to be "common" or "real". And if you don't have the desire to label yourselves, why would I?

The problem I have isn't with you guys, or with anybody for that matter, because I do not care about people's sexual orientation. My problem is seeing not once, not twice, but ALL THE FREAKING TIME boys and men in yaoi acting like they're straighter than a broom and even disgusted by other gay characters. Like cmon, I get that yaoi is often just a "homosexual fantasy" (yuck) for heterosexual women, but it isn't realistic nor healthy to portray mlm in such an oppresive, discriminating manner.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I understand now and I agreee (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I also misunderstood, and I agree, as well. Portraying men in that light, and those perceptions of homosexuality, I think can potentially do more harm than good, culturally speaking.
