Oh, I'm not saying that she shouldn't feel hurt or jealous, and I can empathize with her about that, but since she, herself, friend-zoned him and is not his girlfriend, she has no right to slap him or get angry at him for being "intimate" with another girl. If she wants to act like that, then she should accept his confession and claim him as her own. Don't get me wrong, I think Yakushimaru-chan is one of the most adorable girls I seen in a series I've read. She just needs to deal with all her emotional baggage before being involved in a relationship.
Okay not gunna lie, I completely forgot thats happened. Though rereading it, it seemed that she recognized that she wasn't in the right state of mind for a relationship, so thats why she rejected him in the first place. She knew that she wasn't doing the right thing and decided to back off, he was the one who wanted to continue being friends with her. So he kinda friend-zoned himself (It's mostly in ch 16)
Yes, this is all pretty much true, though I do take exception to Ootaki friend-zoning himself. It's not like he decided to just stay as her friend forever, rather, he still hopes that she will eventually change her mind. Do you think that, if another dude comes along and makes a play for her, that he will take a back seat and watch over her as a friend would?
Aha not really, like right after this her childhood friend came into the pic and he got super pissed. He was obviously distressed, chasing them around and trying to get in-between them. I think the only difference is that he was just much more direct (she is quite passive) and the thing with the childhood friend was only in one chapter (ch. 18). So I kinda excuse both of their behavior because its clear that they are more than just friends. Ya feel me?
So far, the annoying, arrogant childhood friend has only been in 2 chapters, but don't count him out of the picture just yet. And, yes, for all intents and purposes, Yakushimaru and Ootaki are more boyfriend and girlfriend than just friends. As things stand right now, it would be hard to imagine either of them in a romantic relationship with anyone else.
So yup, thats why Im not really irritated by her action/behavior in these recent updates but i don't think you are wrong for being annoyed (there are tons of times I get rubbed the wrong way, even though it doesn't bother others). Be that as it may, I do find these recent events frustrating overall, wether or not I empathizes with the characters.
With every new chapter, Yakushimaru-chan is getting less and less likeable. Ootaki-kun did nothing wrong or inappropriate (of his own volition), and especially nothing that would give her the right to slap him. Granted, if she was actually his girlfriend, I'd understand, and perhaps even approve. But they are friends at best and, especially since she is the one who friend-zoned him, Yakushimaru-chan has no right to bitch and moan about his behavior, even if she had caught them kissing. Yes, I think the word "bitch" seems appropriate here.
