This was a good ending

I think it's been quite obvious ever since Hyunwoo lied about what happened at the hotel that Reck was going for the ending we saw this week. This was a interesting read and it wasn't cliche by making Jun a massive dick so that Subin would go back to Hyunwoo.

I was relieved that Subin and Jun ended up together. I wish we had gotten more info on Jun's friend and whatever happened with Yuna and her bf. But I think it's just Lezhin being Lezhin and rushing authors. Hate Mate could've been a good 60-100 chapters and I feel like the story would be better fleshed out. That was probably the intent of Reck too.

You all can be mad and upset about Subin deciding to not involve himself in a toxic relationship, but you all can't be surprised. This ending was clear. Reck made Hyunwoo a dick who decided that he liked Subin after avoiding him for two years and seeing that Subin was happy with a man that actually cared for him for a reason.

Reck made a fresh and original story from some cliché plot bases and I applaud them for that.

Best comment here. If this manhwa were hosted in other platform it would have been an amazing story with the proper development. The premise and that outcome is what I expect from the mangas which have a toxic relationships but it never ends well because their demography aka inmature lil' girls are into abusive duchebags.

I agree. She was definitely going for Jun and Subin being together, but couldn't flesh out the story because Lezhin. I'm happy that for once, the main character chose the non-toxic relationship though.
