because theyre introduced to shit like junjou or sekaiichi where its all fluffy and they expect everything to be like that
Well in my opinion this manga might have dark sides to it
The story doesn’t sound that dark and sad though compared to many other yaoi mangas
But I think what makes it ‘dark’ is the specific art style and characters themselves and I think the mangaka is doing a good job in that
The characters are not typical hot and charming seme who keeps giving the cute and stubborn uke love even though he’d been rejected already and all the other cliches u know
Characters are more realistic and the mangaka is not focused on having charming or hot characters instead we’re dealing with more realistic characters.
And the feelings are described carefully which makes it kinda *dark* ( since the feelings the main character is involved with is not very positive) it’s not exactly *described* but u still can relate to the main character
Though it’s not that dark and *the darkest yaoi manga* in the world
Nope. But this one hit too close to home. I had a trauma, and chapter 5 triggered it. Like, in full swing. I have never got so intensely triggered by any yaoi manga before. I felt like i couldnt control my own feeling and i had trouble sleeping last night. That trigger warning are for those who have trauma of being sexually abused like me. Now that i know what it felt like to be triggered, like, really, actually being triggered, i dont want anyone to feel like i did.
Uh, people. I dont think this is about which manga is darker, or who is new in yaoi and havent read dark yaoi that much. Any kind of story could trigger someone personally, depends on their own experiences and conditions. Example: to us in general, sekaiichi is fujoshi-like, fluffly, less deep in comparison to this manga. But to someone who has (for example) a phobia towards stuffed animals/dolls, sekaiichi could trigger them. This is just rough example tho.
This is not about the manga, it's about the person reading the story.
There's plenty of non-rapey yaoi out there. There's nothing wrong with people disliking rape. The fucked up ones are the ones who actually like that shit.
Rape tags and comments exist because of exactly that reason, so people can avoid mangas like that who are unfortunately far too frequent and common.
Why don't you fuck off.
Look here,I'm just calmly talking to them when you suddenly come in and start acting like a dick. If they read stuff on here, they will come across stuff like this so if they do they got to be careful. I never said that there was something wrong with people not liking rape.why did you even feel the need to state something so obvious? Also, what is your problem?
I'm sorry but you are being rude. We are not arguing against each other here. There's no need to tell anyone to fuck off.
And if we think about it, rapey yaoi will always exist as long as rape crime exist. Why? Because people write stories about the reality of this world. Even fictional stories are written based on what's happening in this world and what we experience as humans. And do people read it? Yes we do. We read representations of our world. I think there's no use hating on fictional stories, or hating on people who read them.
why some people read rapey yaoi? We read rapey yaoi not because we like rape. I personally read yaoi, and want to finish reading it, even with rape in it, because i want to see how the characters survive through it, find closure, and gain happiness. That's why i'm still gonna read this manga. I dont like chapter 5, i will never ever open that chapter again, but i'm looking forward to chapter 6, i wanna see how the characters grow.i wanna see how they heal each other's wound.
Others may have different reason to why they read rapey yaoi. But do we like rape? Absolutely not. Do we say yes to rape? Oh fuck no.
Please please please proceed to chapter 5 with caution. I've prepared myself but I was still triggered by it. The worst case had happened in chapter 5 in my opinion.
