Is anyone else questioning why Christoph felt the need to stab to death the unconscious in...

Maybe the intruder wasn't attacking Christopher , maybe just karis was there at the wrong time , and Christopher pretended to attack the intruder , maybe he didn't know karis would he hurt , and if the intruder were to be arrested , the would easily go through his memory , and know all the truth
