Not really historical but you definitely have to try Black Haze. I got hooked instantly after reading the first chapter, it's a manwha.

I like historical manga a good deal. I'm not quite sure about the 'drama' part, but here are some I've enjoyed.

I'm into complicated plots so if you can take it, I recommend "Amatsuki" also the "fate" series. Fate stay/night is my fave.
