I think he was just a regular businessman, whose company's employees use anything to make a contract.
from what i get looking at the times he flashback abt his job, he's probably a con artist.
What was his job before? I don't think it was explained, but that woman slapped him good! However,I feel like her closing argument lost me. Can't blame him because you lack self-confidence and are still wallowing. Pick yourself up shit happens everyday. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
