Sorry but...

This is the more far fetched thing that would ever happen... Have anyone smelled gasoline before? is not like the most subtle thing. There's also no way that no one was behind stage when she threw the lighter, and the flames would have alerted all people in the room and how did Yeonju got caught up in flames???... and this story was going so well... meh

I agree with you and I had wondered the same thing. Seems like the author ran out of steam towards the end and was trying to find a way to end it with a bang even if it was far fetched. I had mentioned earlier I was a bit disappointed because I wanted the Professor's friend to torture / torment Hee-Eun like she expressed in Chapter 75..but we will never get to see that.

It looks like she poured down the gas awhile before the recital, which might give the odor time to dissipate somewhat, and might also explain why the fire took a bit longer to spread than otherwise. As for Yeonju, she might've been trying to get to an exit, or if the flames have spread up the wall or curtains at all they may have embers falling down from above.

As for "No one backstage", I'm willing to bet that most people have been actively avoiding her since the truth came out about her crazy, so yeah, I don't find it that incredible that anybody in the area she was waiting in saw that she was there and decided to be elsewhere.

Also, if that girl had tried to carry through on her promise to torment Hee-Eun, I promise it would've ended with her getting stabbed in the eye. I was honestly surprised it didn't already happen. You don't mess with crazy. Case in point, building on fire.
