Nah, I think it's more about him showing that he's ready and trusts him more than anything else
I mean I get how you'd think that, but this isn't fluff. They've shown they love in others way though. Putting aside jealousy, buying gifts, even willing to announce their relationship. PDA and their communication game is pretty strong. I see growth from staying together and actively communicating despite being a victim sexual assault multiple times.
