Totally agree with you there, fans are free to give their opinions. The story is getting nowhere, the MC is not boring in the beginning but with this kind of conflict its kinda like the author is running out of ideas and just stuck up with the deadlines. I feel bad for the author, (i mean ideas doesnt come outta nowhere, right? and she put lots of effort to draw as well) but i guess its better to take a break for a while and consider fans opinion to give a better story later, just sayin
Also, ppl keep shouting "boo don't like don't read"...
Well, newsflash for you: a work in progress is subject to feedback. Many people here started reading and liked it in the beginning, and kept on reading because they like what they saw.
My point is, at this point, the story has a public it reaches. And this public is giving their feedback. Sure, the author owes us nothing, and they can very easily say "don't like don't read". But if you don't take your fans opinions into consideration, they will indeed stop reading it. The fans are what made this story so popular. If they stop reading, who exactly are you drawing for? The void? Sure, a few people are going to keep on reading your work, but it won't be a success because "people who don't like it can just stop reading" and they did.
"But the character is like this, so deal with it" - no, the author made him like this. It's not a real person. And sorry to break it to you, but if the MC is like this, then he is just plain boring and not a MC who captivates the public. Your work is doomed if you don't listen to feedback.
So while the author owes us nothing and we can just stop reading if we don't like, having fans is what makes the manga popular to begin with. Take for example great mangakas like Nekota Yonezou, who listens to fans and makes improvements in her work without losing the essence of the MC's.
Tldr: Stop saying we can't complain and should just stop reading if we don't like it just because you don't agree with other fans' opinions. We've read this far, we are fans, we can complain to our hearts content if the author is just procrastinating with the plot.
This is a place for discussion, and it's not restricted only to people who like what is going on. And from what I gather in the comments, most people don't like it. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
