Jesus, so much butthurt people. It's not like he sold her to be a prostitute, he assumed she wanted to be one (or more like needed to become one for whatever reason) and the main girl couldn't properly explain to the madam who was too forceful... That bag he put away was where he kept the watch, it wasn't a moneybag. And when taking her virginity, he was doing her a favour SHE ASKED FOR , even if his attraction towards her also may have been an ulterior motive. And asking her to forget - that was completely rational, since they weren't allowed to have a relationship, which brought a lot of complications.
And yeah, sure, the main girl was a bit too chill with being a prostitute, but she DID complain in the beginning, and even got Shuhei to take her virginity (which, by the way, would have brought them a ton of trouble if somebody knew, 'cuz a prostitutes virginity is really expensive). But anyway, there are people who are less rigid about sex in general, and it wasn't like she had a lot of choice at that point. Instead of wallowing in misery, she toughed up and did her job.
Seriously, it feel like everyone here is either an oversensitive american justice warrior or a sexual assault victim. Life is shit, and if you can't endure anything and whine because of everything, then you are going to have one miserable, short life.

'a sexual assult victim,' am I catching a hint of sarcasm? I understand MANY are very sensitive of a fictional story but making a light joke with that remark made me loose all respect with that rant. If that's your tactic for dealing with the woes of life-that's great but don't push it on others with a dismissive, that's life you sjw and a very generalizing, you American insult.

If you had to explain the story to many of them why even be combative with anyone who doesn't grasp basic skills of reading comprehension?

I never made a joke of sexual assault, and it wasn't my intention to seem like I did, because I do understand what a horrible thing it is. My point was, that people are oversensitive - almost like they themselves went through some kind of sexual assault, even though most of the people complaining here probably didn't. If they did, then obviously they are going to have stronger opinions, and that's okay. I was talking about people who didn't.
And you may be right, there is no point to arguing with the people who can't understand what they read, but I wrote that comment in the heat of the moment after getting pissed at the complaints. If I were calm, I wouldn't bother.
