So my theory is that since he was reincarnated into the future of his world. He’s passed self some how became extremely famous without him knowing. And was over time after immortalized as this god of magic. Thus the reason why the crest that debilitated him in his past life is now so revered. There’s also a statue of his past self in ch4 page 43.
