I'm so confused

I know some people explained that the main sugar daddy is Mari's brother. but it still doesn't make sense. if thats her brother and they are looking for him to get married why was Jun asking about his wife, cause obviously it was that dudes wife that hit him. there's also other things that don't add up. I feel like the author messed something up with the story line and if not they need to clear it up.

    Naahhh. That’s not his wife. He’s not married at all. That’s her “oppa’s” wife. Since older brother & pretty much a weird way of saying like... sexual older brother,, eugh.. it got all fucked up.

    You'd think the Koreans were used to mix ups of this sort occurring with the same term for older brother and BF. It can't be the first time either in RL or in fiction this has happened.

    i know right? i always found that weird and kind of impractical

    like, if you're siblings - brother and sister - the sister would call her brother 'oppa'
    but the same term is used for if the sister/a girl got a boyfriend or even just (almost) any male who is older than the female gets called 'oppa' too

    it's just like...
    brother = oppa
    boyfriend = oppa
    other male = oppa

    but well, one could argue it's the same for other words/terms of endearment used between people

    such as:
    'son' - used by a father or a relative or even a stranger/non-(blood or family)related person calling a younger male 'son'
    'mija / mijo' (or is it 'mi hija' and mi hijo'??? sorry, can someone spell check that please?) - same as above with 'son' but in spanish
    'sugar' - like when it's used in the south
    'honey' 'baby' 'sweetheart' 'love'/'luv' 'boo' 'angel' 'baby girl' 'baby boy' 'mama' etc. [uuuh, except the last three might be a bit different depending, which i'll go into more detail next]

    I guess the one to use to compare and show why it's weird to me would be 'daddy' ; at some point it's deemed "inappropriate" or "wrong" or "abnormal" for fathers to be called that by their children because it's taken on such a sexual connotation at some point or been ruined because of porn basically by becoming a kink.
    Like that one tumblr post where the person hadn't called her father 'daddy' in forever that the dad thought she was mad at him but instead she hadn't called him 'daddy' because of it's use in sex/kink.

    my computer's low on battery so i'll try to finish my point later

    Because of your explanation, i understood it now.
    So basically, we have not yet see the boyfriend. And the guy we see from the start is the brother.
    Am i right?
