As stated in the title, the manga is called principle. So I believe that this manga questions the "correct behaviour" that one should do. It is shown that the mc (the slut) creates this sets of rules because it will cause the minimum damage to him. Considering his past, it is not surprising that he would try and do something that would be accepted. However, we see that these rules doesn't seem right as well because from his co-worker's perspective, his 'happiness' seemed unstable and temporary; like how the co-worker can relate it to him being unable to find 'his place'

In short, it's about figuring out the correct behaviour of people; while we consider their past experiences, personalities, standpoint, or other values.

I dunno if this is exactly what the author is portraying in this manga, but this is the best interpretation I have so far. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Haha... well it's difficult to understand his feelings because of his unemotional/bored expression, so we can never be sure atm. (〜￣△￣)〜
