the transitions were a little sloppy that's why.
basically the main character is half elf half human who has royal elven blood and a long time ago he was imprisoned by elves in a prison were raskin saved him only he didn't know cause when they transform they all look the same
and the general look him to harass raskin
now in the present time we learn the prince of the elves is looking for him and trying to kill him cause hybrids of his kind are looked down upon him (plus his royal too) this help ?
oh and raskin paid that guy with the fairy after he dumped him in the desert to look out for him so he could escape the general

I didn’t have trouble understanding it tbh. I trted reading it like jap though and didn’t get it.
So i checked if it was japanese and when saw it was not i reread it and it all made sense
