My only advice is to take more time next time a guy asks you out or when you're interested in someone. Go slow, get to know him and spend time with him, then go into lovey-dovey mode, then after a while have sex. It really helps filter out who wants you for you and you're only there for the quick fun.
And really, don't go back to him even if says he's sorry. You're worth more.
