Well originally BDSM has safe words, mangas just usually don't put them in. Btw I don't do BDSM, I just know this

safe words are like rule #1 in bdsm. while the master plays what they want if the pet says the word it's an automatic stop. even being the pet doesnt mean no coontrol. ^_^ gatta keep everyone safe somehow.

Including safe words, aren't there like contracts too between the Dom and the sub to discuss what they like and their limits? Or at least they discuss it beforehand

yes that is true. although i wouldnt really say contract. lol. -_- that's just weird. but yes we learn our partner's likes and dislikes first. just like how any "normal" couple does. it's just more...detailed...i guess.

I´ve heard that they don´t server alcohol in bdsm clubs, so that the consent wont be voided! Super intresting

Oh, I said contract because I was doing research on BDSM and found out some people actually do have contracts for their relationships, even though it isn't really legally binding. It makes sense if its rarely done though, since its easier to just talk about it lol

That is super interesting, just goes to show how important consent is in BDSM

never been to one personally but i wouldnt doubt it. it's something very serious in our world. but i love how a book or movie gets topics like this going so easy. lol.

there´s no rule, people do it however they like, although it´s very much encouraged to discuss as much as possible prior to any actual scene to make sure explicit consent is given and people know what they get themselves into... what they sadly failed to do here with the camera-guy. You need explicit consent to take part in (or even just watch) any BDSM- scene. Just tossing the remote control into his lap without asking HIS consent first- is- harrassment. He´s finding himself in an uncomfortabe sexual situation he didn´t consent to and has no proper chance to discuss then or back out from- that´s how you should NOT do it in real life and we´re back at the non-con- problem of fiction again...

seems to be the case in US- clubs and BDSM- culture in the US... in other places they don´t really know as much about that rule and serve alcohol too (it depends on the people owning the club and making the rules), people are just encouraged to keep it to a minimum... obviously drunk or unsafe behaviour usually won´t be tolerated...
