I know what you mean. I want to support the artist's, but at the same time knowing that they'll get only a portion, makes me have mixed feelings as well.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. How are people reading this, and concluding that they shouldn't buy chapters? How does that even make sense? Artists still make a percentage of sales. Lezhin is not paying them the correct percentage. But if you steal chapters, they make no money at all. These artists are suffering. They need us now more than ever. Don't steal from them to punish Lezhin. That just hurts them even more!
I'm not going to stop buying chapters on Lezhin, I'm just disappointed that the authors are being used and treated unfairly
The best way to help is bring awareness of what is going on but also supporting the artist, ideally by buying chapters. Remember they are under contract with Lezhin.
I am too. It's really crappy, isn't it? It sucks that we want to support the author, but that Lezhin is pocketing a high percentage of what we pay that is supposed to go to authors as per their contract. I feel you on that. If I find out about other ways we can help the authors take on Lezhin, I will be sure to share. Sorry I misunderstood. I feel so bad for Haribo.
hey no worries, it's good you had me clear it up in case others misunderstood. i completely agree with you i want to pay the artist not the site. sure they can have a portion for hosting but i'm so disappointed how they treat their artists and get away with it. the weekly deadline must be SO freaking stressful, especially for artists who haven't yet made it
That's terrible. I had no idea. I, too, will read manhwa here and then buy the all the available chapters on Lezhin to support the artists. It blows that they're not getting their dues for all the awesome work that they do. That really makes me angry...
Like everyone who has been following the story, I wasn't to happy with the ending. BUT there's a reason for it!
If you don't know Lezhin, the website, is in deep trouble. They have been evading taxes, in their country and internationally, they also been keeping a large amount of money from the artist, and have told the artists that if they don't create new content, i.e. if a story is getting to long or if the ratio of free to paid chapters are unbalanced, they could lose the revenue they been earning, may increase the amount of tokens to pay for new future chapters, and their story could be dropped.
