I feel you missed the point. It's not that he cared about his career, Minsuk realized that Yongjae never cared--even from the beginning. It's sort of a wake-up call. I wouldn't call him selfish...more naive than anything. Validation is important in a relationship. Yongjae brushes off anything that Minsuk does...nothing is serious because Yongjae is all about himself and his wants. If you're in a relationship, you want the other person to understand your wants, feelings and desires and accept them--pure definition of being validated. Bexan always made Minsuk feel important and always knew how he felt--even though he only known him for one month. Yongjae has known him for 10 years and is self-centered and knows nothing about Minsuk's desires and feelings. Minsuk finally realized it (and he really feels like a jackass after this). Wait until you read chapter 28 and you'll understand.

The only comment here that makes sense. Some people equate wanting to be validated=selfish. Probably didn't read the black narrative boxes. I want to see you all in a relationship/marriage without validation and let me know if it works............because it won't. Validation=acceptance and understanding. Wouldn't you want the person you love to understand you? So what if he runs back to Bexan? Better late than never.

lol although all that is true , I think you may have missed the point that is being made! The point is that some of us as readers, do not see Minsuk having the same affection that Bexan has for him !Bexan comes off as a second choice to us because he gives Young jae the time of day. No one said anything about not needing validation in a relationship ! That is something that you guys came up with on your own .

The original poster said that Minsuk left becuase he wants validation not because he loves Bexan. I didn't come up with anything on my own sweetheart. That's not being selfish, it's being realistic. Sure, I think it is obvious that Minsuk likes Bexan a lot but he's being realistic because he think he's leaving. He only knew Bexan for 1 month, and he knew Yongjae for 10 years. Most people would try to work it out. I dont think he realizes how much he likes Bexan. Y'all calling him selfish and he isn't. If he was selfish, he wouldn't have let a werewolf live with him. That would really make for a boring story if he decided to pick Bexan first. You know right? Think about it, Bexan is a werewolf tnat changes due to the sun so half the day he's a wolf. He only knew him for a month, and he wants to go to Siberia.

An ex, that "seems" like he wants to work it out, most likely his first love and serious relationship and you've known him for 10 years. Yes, it's realistic to chose his ex. So, it's selfish for him to finally realize his feelings and tell his ex to f*ck off and try to make it work with Bexan. He's selfish because he didn't pick him first...like seriously. People make bad decisions and choices, it doesnt make them selfish. I hope you all never have to make decision similar to Minsuk on choosing someone.

Yeah I understand that my point was that he never should have entertained the idea from the start. He never thought about the wolf when finding out his true feelings. Let’s say that the ex somehow changed, would he had just got back with him? So as it is now he should feel like a fool a selfish fool.
