About the second chapter

Why does the king refers to himself as 'we'/'us'/'our'? For a moment here, I considered the idea of him having a twin brother just like the two brothers at first chapter. Or is this some sort of ancient speech? Can someone help me here? ( ̄∇ ̄")

    Just the royal We usage of a king.

    the royalty refered themselves as "we". Majestic plural

    It was also considered treason to use the royal "we" in conversations. And it wasn't the royalty that used it. It was specifically the King/Emperor who used it. No one else. Not even the Queen was allowed to use the royal "we".
