Are you planning on buying officially translated BL books? If so, you could probably look for some yourself. I don't think there's too many of them. Also, for any kind of yaoi (softcore, hardcore), you would probably have to prove that you are not a minor in order to purchase them. I'm not sure if bookstores will even make a distinction between shounen-ai and yaoi though. I feel like they are usually coupled together.

They totally have an age rating on them depending on what the contents are, at least in the US. You can buy shounen-ai no problem. My niece is a small fujo and has no issue walking in to a book store and buying whatever. That said, even though there is quite a lot out there, most of it isn't very easy to find in stores. You're better off going through Amazon.

But considering how OP is a minor, ordering things online might not be a good idea especially in regards to money (if you have to ask your parents for it) and actually receiving the packages. OP just has to go to the bookstore herself(?) and see what's there. Some books might not be available or sold out. So even though there are recommendations, she might not find it.

Yeah... My parents shouldn't really check what I buy and they aren't interested in 'those stupid Asian boys' (I was first introduced to Kpop and apparently anything Asian is a waste of time) I'm more worried about my mum who always takes my books. Since they're not really interested I should be fine but I didn't want them to know about my BL obsession because we're a Catholic family. Hi, I was wondering if there are any suggestions for me? I am considering buying a few manga's during the Christmas holidays but they need to be appropriate. I am a teenager still living with my parents who don't even know that I'm addicted to bl. Do you have any recommendations for appropriate Shounen ai or yaoi? My mum is quite nosy so she'd probably look through my books without me knowing, so preferably no sex scenes? Also, you can recommend any other manga, it's good for me to broaden my horizons :)
