I agree that it's a big part of it, but I think because I've always been more feminine, always gotten along better with women, etc, most things made by gay men are just really unappealing and unrelatable for me. So I appreciate that there are things made by women which do speak to me, even if overall I do take issue with the underlying causes. I'd rather have good, relatable content made by gay men, for men like me, but it's very scarce.
There are women who prowl Grindr for hookups much the same way straight gays hit on lesbians. I don't get it. What are they gaining from that? It's really screwed up.
I think mainly I just don't like super polarizing ideals. There is so much grey area in life. We can all relate to one another in so many ways. I agree with you on everything, but also refuse to villainize women/girls for their small joys. I honestly believe that a lot of the attraction to gay men comes from a really sad place. Straight guys suck. I don't want to date them either.
