In this case, I find that the anime was actually better than the manga -mainly because in the anime you can actually listen to the songs, and damn they're pretty great. Also, I find the anime to be a little less complicated than the manga.

Kaito is as slow and dense and Michel is annoyingly selfish. Absolutely there are moments when things don't go the way you want, but that's part of life. A sucky part, but nonetheless time goes on. (I've been shot down by guys quite a few times, and I've been hurt in terms of emotions just like anyone else, but I don't force the guy to stay by my side when I know he loves someone else.)

I can't help but feel bad for Hanon and Rina... It just seems kinda unfair that they can't have the same relationship with their boyfriends like Luchia and Kaito -Kaito not only knows Luchia's secret, but he's a prince of the sea, so they're basically matched. So while Luchia and Kaito get to be happy, Hanon and Rina and any other mermaid who falls in love can't be with the one they love.

Sorry that this was so long, and if my rant was annoying.... I hope nobody takes this too seriously -as I seem to have lol -but definately, if you haven't done so, check out the anime songs. They're really great and catchy too! The seiyu's are pretty good matches too!
