Yeah, I know that too. It was actually common in almost every country and in every royal family there is. Pure blood, blue blood. But you know, we are in modern times now, and you have this sis who has feelings for her bro, and it's a bit... too much. You feel at some point that there is something wrong with her, some kind of unresolved Electra complex. She's not a kid. It's unnecessary to tell this kind of story, that's all I'm saying. :)

The incest trope is really prevalent in some east asian medias. I don't know how it is in China, but I do know that incest is currently legal in japan (although it is generally frowned upon now). It's very saturated in manga, dramas, LNs, and movies there. The whole psychological complex thing flies over the heads of these creators who just find it to be as natural a trope a good girl x bad boy. To be fair, most of the people that keep perpetuating it now are grown men. The rest of the times, it's just influenced ideas.
I personally think that this story is going to be like Ouke no Monshou where the brother isn't related to her by blood.

In Ouke no Monsho, Ryan and Carol are quite close which u can mistake for sibling love. However, Ryan is Memphis' reincarnation (which pretty much changes everything lol). I feel like this story is going to be very similar to Ouke no Monsho so I'm expecting the girl and her brother to also not be related by blood.
Omg!! I never got that far ahead yet! Don't worry, I sorta dropped it 'cause it was repeating the same plot, and that was making me dizzy, but I AM GLAD to know that it has a sort of closed circle ending. Ahhh so it's like that...... Alright! I'll have no qualms if this story ends up similarly. It's quite interesting.

The thing with Ryan is not much of a surprise tho. It explains how he could sometimes hear Carol and how he was able to shoot Izumi.
