How about Boukyaku no Shirushi to Hime. If I'm not wrong. It's a romantic comedy story about a princess from a poor kingdom decided to marry a headless king from the powerful and rich kingdom in order to save her run down kingdom. The king is headless but he is not a normal human and has a great power that make all the neighbourhood kingdom bow to him.
well even if you get recs from others here, you still need to know what it's about and have read it to some degree because most likely your friend will ask you questions about it or want to know how good it is.
