Haha, no, I know exactly what you mean. I played a video game recently, and a guy broke my character's heart. I was like, "How dare you hurt my baby!" You grow attached to the characters; it's totally understandable.
Me myself I’m a very violent person when it comes to the people or characters I love I will become very protective but you can say I’m like a tsundere, I’m glad it didn’t come out weird
