I get what you mean, I felt a little dubious at first as well, because I'm not really a fan of S&M or drama (or worse a combination of both) but this didn't have drama, so I thought 'screw it, the worst it could do to me is break my soul'. I'm glad I finished it, it overall was a nice story and character development ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Most yaoi isn't S/M? It's just mostly rape and abuse. This one was awesome however because the Seme actually learns what is and isn't appropriate unlike most Yaoi that attempt to convey this theme. T.
I really hated seme at first and was so confused with the whole thing in the beginning of the story but I forced myself to read until ch 6/7 and everything seriously got better. I was surprised myself too since I’m not really into S/M yaoi but what made me keep reading it was because uke’s personality and it turned out seme had a painful past and together they are just...perfect. I love how tolerant the uke is, but he’s doing it not just out of pity but he truly loves seme too ╥﹏╥
