Why is everyone triggered over this? Not everyone is gonna be your perfect yaoi couple that every author tried to create and just because the author makes something different or seemingly abusive doesn’t mean they’re promoting it. It’s how your characters would act in certain situations.

I’m not a writer or anything but I do know that characters build up as you go and a lot of times you need something like a problem to shape them or a few bumps in the road to build off of that. (Or something they can connect with or relate with)

It’s just a yaoi love story with some different yaoi characters who enjoy or like different things than usual. Nothings wrong with that.

K done with that lil rant thingy I guess.

I agree. I think its very important to think about intent and the authors writing. She isn't condoning abuse, promoting, or glorifying it. It also isn't one of those mantas where a partner is abusive and the author doesn't address it/ thinks how they're making their character act is unproblematic. Its clear the author isn't writing this as if abuse is cute or cool or okay. Its just a honest story about two dudes with really weird habits/urges and their meeting. Its all just what it is.
