It has nothing to do with Hana, as his Omiai was an official one. Gramps would have been able to throw his own candidates in the mix, and kick up a fuss if he didn't like those on the list.

Whaat?! Is this the Gramp's way of preparing Takane for what could possibly happen if he declares his relationship with Hana? A situation where his stripped from his business title and has to start from the bottom and climb up top again if he chooses a life with Hana? I'm trying to make sense of gramp's teaching style here xD
