I have learned to adjust to a "beautiful ending" is different in every culture. Harada writes beautiful works with story lines that touch me emotionally. I personally don't agree with pedophilia but I have learned in school that yesterdays victims is today's perpetrator. I guess the twisted ending for this book is that "mutually found love" at the end.

"Yesterday's victim is today's perpetrator," is an untrue and needlessly cruel opinion that is spread around as fact by people who know nothing of the reality of surviving sexual abuse, and nothing of psychology.

This comment makes me so sick and disgusted... Victims sometimes read or write stories like this to sort out their feelings of what happened to them, to help them heal and move on.

Keep this "every abuse survivor becomes an abuser" shit off this site.

And NEVER say it out loud, ever. The harm a mindless lie such as this does to a survivor... Pray you never understand it.

Actually I do understand it. I was sexually abused most of my life until I was 15 years old have was forced to have intercourse at the age of 8. So I do understand what the fuck I am talking about. And I am not saying that I am over what happened to me. However I have worked enough on myself to see that every culture had different views about different things. My stepfather started to sexually abuse me at the age of two raped me for the first time at the age of 8 while my mother was with my baby sister was in the ICU peds unit and my other sister was in the other bed next to us "asleep" sexually molested by various "UNCLES" on my stepfathers side of the family. I was molested by various fosterfathers and older foster bothers in foster care. SO I do know. So perhaps @Dargon what YOU need is some more therapy so shit like this doesn't freak you out.
And the whole "yesterdays victim is today's perp" is exactly true. There is tons of evidenced based research that is published in peer reviewed journals that show a DIRECT correlation of pedophiles and their predatory sexual behavior and their own history of sexual trauma. I am not saying this to excuse them, But THIS IS FACT. So my advise dude is get some help. Therapy wont take it away and you will never get over what happened to you, it will always affect you but therapy will help you manage. Therapy isn't a magic wand and you will probably need therapy off and on for the rest of your life but it does help to manage your emotions and trauma because on the real ... that shit hits you in waves throughout your life.

Yeah Dargon, I think you went a little too deep into this persons statement. This person was talking about this manga not in general such as "the entire world" for example.
