Why are people in shock? The chapters have been outrageously short for so long so she's obviously been having difficulty keeping the story going. Should have ended months ago.
You're obviously not aware so guess let me explain, it's not because she's having difficulty to keep the story going, in fact she really want to end things in volume 3 but Dear+ is milking cash out from it so she can't end it the way she wanted. Blame D+ please. :/
