i've never considered myself a trump or alt right supporter but sure, i guess you could say my views on the wage gap is the same as theirs. types of career, the amount of hours and days one puts in their work, and the time they've been in that job can affect the amount earned. thus making the wage of women and men different. many men work in IT careers where they're gonna clearly get paid more than a woman working at an office. this is not discrimination, this is whether that woman wanna put the work and get into the same career as him or stay working in that office and complain she is getting paid less. now the issue is what if the man and woman work in the same job? well, hours and days still come to play. you can't expect a woman who has missed 2 days of work get paid the same as a man who has worked full week. what if they've worked the same job, hours, days etc? then yes, i agree that there is discrimination and something is wrong. but even then, the woman has the right to report her employer because it is illegal to discriminate based on sex. the issue is complicated and i don't want to talk in depth about it. this is just the general idea i've looked into. overall, feminazis complaining about the wage gap are hilarious. it's almost if not, just as hilarious as them complaining about mansplaining.
I don't know if the wage gap exists outside of corporate jobs, but i do have some experience with it. That or my boss was actually a misogynist. True story, I'm really bad at telling stories so bare with me, please.
Years ago, I was working at a cafe, sold sandwiches and drinks, everyone started off making 8 bucks an hour, after a year you got a 25cent raise. Except for one lady in her 50s, she baked the breads and cookies, she was making 10 dollars an hour. My boyfriend at the time had just gotten fired from blockbuster for stealing candy, he needed a job. I got him an interview at the cafe, he had no previous restaurant work experience, he was hired to be a shift leader (In 2 years I worked there, there was no such position) at 11.50/hour. And he got to pick his shifts. He ended up getting fired after calling in "too drunk to work" not once, not twice, but 6 different times.
So, I dunno if it counts or not but that is my experience.
