This is by far the most serious BL manga/manhwa/webtoon ive ever read... and i'm so so thankful for the creators because a lot of BL materials only revolve around sex and fetishize the fact that the main characters are gay. As a gay person, it bothers me a lot seeing those kind of stories (and readers) who only focus on sexual aspect of the story. So it's really refreshing and touching to see stories like this... that honestly explore many other aspects in the main characters' live than their "gayness".

But!! Spoiler alert!! I've read the raws until the end, and i have to say that i'm a bit disappointed with the ending. Don't get me wrong, i TOTALLY want them to be happy together (and they are indeed portrayed as happy at the end) but i wish the author hadn't rushed the story... there are a lot of unanswered questions. I wish to know about other characters, mainly Gale, since he just disappeared and his motive stays unclear until the very end.

Otherwise, though... this is a very great story... i do wish the creators could have explored the other characters, because they're very interesting and important to the story. But other than that, i'm very glad that i found and read this webtoon.

It was a pretty rushed and half hearted ending for a few reasons the author had to do it and hopefully move on in her career. The first reason is the piracy and the audience who reads the manhwa on illegal websites such as this one and actually cause the author and Lezhin to lose money. If you follow the artists Twitter she does complain about piracy quite often. The second reason is the comics lack of popularity on the official website. It only made it to top 5 and top 10 most popular on Lezhin comics charts when the author Koogi talked about the story and people researched it but after a couple of weeks the hype was gone and the comic had a mediocre to bad performance in the official sales. The comic has a lot of issues its not even close to being a masterpiece also the author says some controversial things about the series on her social media which her audience doesn't embrace so she had to make this very yaoi, rushed and cliche ending because she got tired and a convensional happy ending it's more popular and comercial than a bold and ambitious original open or even sad ending.

That's a pity because it's such a good story. To think only cliche and uncontroversial stories well more than original and conventional stories is a crying shame. That is what makes stories unique. Storytelling (especially in BL stories) has gone to shit.

Thank you for understanding why i have issues with the story but especially with the ending. You see i considered Dark Heaven to be a really dark themed story with some homosexual aspects on it.Just like killing stalking which not really a BL .So just like for killing stalking i would not like an ending in which Sangwoo goes to jail and Yoonbum goes to therapy. That would be boring cliche and unrealistic and not fitting for the story. My expectetions were similar for Dark Heaven.I expected something different something original and unique about the story. Most couples don't make it through so many difficulties especially when they are completely different personalities like Simon and Connor. And they do such an unstable job in the show buisiness which doesn't guarantee you success, stability and good money. The music industry is such that one day an artist can be on the top of the world and the next homeless. It's a very uncertain job and thinking realistically how long will Simon and Connors career last? They are already 28 years old an only making their debut. They are quite old for that.Plus we don't really know if they are successful because of their talent or because of all the scandals and the huge media coverage of their story.Or just because Simon was famous first .And its kind of ridiculous. We have seen bands breaking and tmembers go solo. That is realistic. And not a solo artist joining a band suddenly.Plus since they work together any problem that occurs in their work could affect their personal lives...

I do agree with you wholeheartedly. Too bad some of the commenters did not like to hear what you had to say. I sympathize because I was also somewhat in a similar situation where I showed disappointed in Connor and the way he treated Kiev but no one seems to like when you point out the ugly faults of their favorite main characters. It's almost funny, lol.

Well, anyway we can say the unique part of this story is that a solo artist, which is Simone, joins a band. Since logically and realistically speaking that has never happened as far as I know, lol.
