Do to his shyness and social anxiety, he grew up with very few, if any, friends aside from his now boyfriend, and even that was only one summer when they were little. So he has led a fairly sheltered life as a result. It is natural that he wouldn't know anything about malexmale sex, because his parents wouldn't have seen a need to tell him. They would not have known at the time that he might end up in a relationship with another guy.
There are many different types of people, and I am sure there are SEVERAL people in real life that hit 17 without knowing anything about sex (for various reasons) between opposite genders, let alone same gender sex.
Not saying you have to like this or anything, just saying that it is plausible in reality.

This manga pissed me off so much. I hate clueless ukes. And i was hoping for so much more...it says it's ongoing so maybe I'll continue reading to see if he gets a little smarter....i mean seriously...a 17 yr old who literally knows NOTHING about ANYTHING sexual?? My head hurts after reading this
