Wow, you're spot-on with those incidents. I was actually thinking that I liked Kousuke because I could see that he truly liked Hotaru, and he wasn't the typical playboy/bad boy in a Shoujo manga. He wasn't really arrogant either.. HOWEVER, I couldn't easily accept the way he acted towards her, well, more particularly regarding the way he dealt with the girls who went after him. I was just so frustrated at him because of that! I mean, he's very particular when it comes to Hotaru, but he lacked self awareness! Being 'nice' to everyone just causes trouble in the long run if you don't know how to handle abusive people. He may have been nice to all those girls, but he definitely hurt the one girl he was supposed to cherish a lot. Ugh.

i feel like all he did was make her cry the entire time, forced a kiss on her, got pissed when sensei brought her home without even asking what happened (werent even dating at the time), couldnt see through her friends lie about changing the place and meeting up, got mad at her on the first date, wouldnt believe what she told him about sensei caring for her in the rain, let her fall before he went back to get her, he left her to sleep on a bench in the cold, went with his ex-girlfriend(i get helping someone in trouble, but damn, that was pathetic), leaves her on her birthday to go meet his ex, let his ex kiss him, then went inside her house with her.
then there's haruna-sensei, he talks to her, cries at love story movies, treats her nicely, lectures her to take care of herself and treasure herself most, he wakes her up to go inside so she won't get sick, took care of her when she was sick, he's always there for her to talk to, to cheer her up, he comes to her rescue, he was there for her birthday, comforted her when she was scared, and took care of her when she injured herself. man, it still anger me every time i read it D:< i keep reading hoping she changes her mind but i dont think itll happen. hopefully they show haruna sensei finding his love!! :D someone totally worthy of him
