I've always called them smileys ^^ Like, there's US smiley where you need to turn your head to see the face, and Japanese smileys where you can see it without turning your head. At least I think that's how it's called in France. Maybe.
It's called lenny face and there is a lenny face maker website out there check that out (╭☞ȍ෴ȍ)╭☞

Hey I have a question, does anyone know what these are called, ╮(￣▽￣)╭ (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ (￣ε(#￣)Σ ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ ? I know they have a name but that name isnt emoji. Thanks
