Haha yes, it is a thing :D I've done it, both genders. It depends on a person, but since I know this won't happen again with that person, I can totally relax and do whatever I want. I don't even care how I look to them. Sooo it's easier if it's a foreigner, so it can't come back to bite you in the ass haha :D
People will judge no matter what. And most of them you can find on tindr or grindr doing the exact same thing. Or some other more hardcore sites. But as long as you don't judge yourself, you should be good.
