Sangwoo was angry. The rape was meant as a punishment. The conversation they had before and the fact that he hit Bum make it clear that it wasn't meant as a treat. Sangwoo was still angry af. He called Bum a piece of shit.
So what has been said in the comment section so far, from my own personal prefrence it was rape and it was fun to hear your guys opinions, but enough of that. (It’s funny how people are ok with the sangwoo killing people, but when it comes to the sex scene, everyone is now conflcited) So we know what happens, seungbae lost his job, Bum stuck to his loyalty, and sangwoo reminded us of how truly evil he can be. The thing I want to explain today may seem odd but caught my attention. What if sangwoo clearly wanted to have sex with Bum, but didn’t know a way to do it. ( THIS DOES NOT JUSTIFY THAT IT WAS RAPE!)<< When Bum inflicted a self sucide attempt in the kitchen, and the kind treatment and obsession Sangwoo expressed after may have connected to the present scene today. The bathtub scene, were sangwoo wanted to have sex with Bum was also a huge turning point for the relationship. Many have said sangwoo even offered the sex, in a way to control his victims which is also true from how I viewed the theories. Now think, If he was willing to have sex with Bum, the one who he thought disgusting, annoying, and etc, to have sex?! What a thing out of character... now to explain why Sangwoo raped Bum. Sangwoo implies he is grateful for Bum being loyal, so he wanted to give a “treat” for him, so he rapes him(its rape on the behalf of Bum) He just does it, in plain public, outside, and it’s hurting Bum during the process. I assume this is a act of someone who isn’t mentally stable, sangwoo doesn’t know how to deal with situations in life generally in a normal way, and we can clearly state that from previous chapters, even if he’s a smart ass. If he couldn’t express the weirdly structured emotion he had for Bum back then, how can he now? If he wanted to have sex with Bum, he probably wanted to use any excuse to get to that specific goal. So why sex, why would you want that as a “treat” to Bum. There were so many options to choose from, but Sangwoo went with that specific option. It’s out of character, which is manning the reason so many people were conflcited, and confused by it. So is it emotions Sangwoo is expressing to Bum during that weirdly in the scene, or was it just a sense of gratutide?
