I fucking love maya's dad, and I also kind of hate him

It just feels really appropriate that Nemu is friends with his dad lmao. I hope they can maybe adopt a kid haha. (Finds sudden kid in need of two adoring parents named Nemu and Maya.* c: And then dad is a grandfather. If not, that's fine too though.

I want to hate Maya's dad, however, I understand the dad's frustration as everything he planned for his kid is crumbling, so he can only live in denial/hope that Maya will find some cute girl. It just sucks because a lot of couples face that. Parents always feel that they should have last say, even though it is not their own life, regardless of gay/straight kids. It is hard for traditionalist parents to let go and just want you to be happy, even if they aren't.

v.v It is also sad that dad feels he needs grandkids to kind of "correct" what he didn't do. But shouldn't you have been the best parent that you could in the first place? :/ Ah... just my thoughts.

Regardless.

I'm glad Nemu and hot dad are texting buddies. c: Nemu will definitely grow on him! Hah, amd I can't wait for Nemu to finally be spoiled like he deserves from Maya.

Geeeeeeeeeeez, I'm waiting xD

If what the dad really wants is a grandkid, it's exactly like what you said. They could adopt or even get a surrogate if they wanted to

nope, not applicable in japan so it won't work. it's difficult to adopt as a single man and it's more difficulty for gay lovers so the mangaka is using that line of thought that it's not an option for maya and nemu.

:/ yeah, it's not that easy in a lot of countries, especially big three. It sucks to see manga couples facing so much scrutiny and having to "hide", but it makes it more realistic with adverse reactions of parents and family T-T it is unfortunate but very real.
