I already asked myself nearly the same question. I was really wondering why nobody, really nobody was mentioning the other twin (Our Ciel). It felt like nobody cared that he "died" in that incident. Seriously it pissed me off.

It's not only Lizzy that didn't seem to care, everyone else too. But Lizzy was kinda the closest to the brothers except for their family/servants. She did care about Our Ciel as they were little and it was honest care but let's face reality she just cared a lot more about Real Ciel than Our Ciel, everyone else too. (we all are reading the flashbacks right now). I am not saying she's not caring about Our Ciel now.

I just figured Lizzy was just happy to have "her Ciel" back after that incident happened (she wanted the Real Ciel but she just got Our Ciel), she might've noticed something but decided not to investigate any further or not to mind any further? As we know Lizzy is kinda obsessed with Real Ciel (well she was supposed to marry him some day). Lizzys whole life is build around Real Ciel, she genuinely cares for him. She was raised that way. She developed feelings for the Real Ciel. She might love Our Ciel now too, but she decided to stay with the Real Ciel. I don't care if it might be out of guilt or whatever. She stayed with HER Ciel. I hope Our Ciel is going to find a nice and lovely wife when he's older. It just feels wrong him to end up with Lizzy - at least for me.

They probably didn't mention the twin because they didn't want to hurt Ciel by mentioning him. But that would still be kinda stupid. ANYONE might've been able to mention him anywhere - not everyone is that sensible, but nobody did (could be that it happened off screen). Well Our Ciel was also kinda secretive about his twin (burning pictures etc.) Maybe magic was involved like everyone forgot that there were twins? Otherwise it wouldn't make sense to me that nobody ever mentioned Our Ciel.

For me Lizzy isn't useless she's badass sometimes but I don't really like her as a character. I like Sieglinde (Sulli) a lot more.
