I don't think the friend meant it in a bad way. He was just not at the right point and time to joke like that. I remember always joking about bodies and having conversations about what we didn't like and did like about each other's. I even had a roommate comparing us to fruit and told me I was an apple. I was all what the crap does that even mean?
Wow, his friends are complete assholes. Who just goes and says "why did he fall in love with you, especially with your appearance?" That's so fucked up. And now his head is filled with his own narratives that's gonna make him sad.
