....I think everyone knows that rape in a manga is just fake. The real issue is romantizing rape, making it seem like it's all good that uke can be raped and it's chill. This ties back to the idea that it's "fiction" so ultimately, it shouldn't matter (right?) but yeah, I think the message is still clear as day. People read and interpretate things differently. I personally don't care what people read. I just know that if I don't like it then I won't read it.
Yeah it really pisses me off like this isn't a crisis centre, this is a comic site but people won't stop bitching about it. Like we already get it- rape is bad but telling people that a gazillion times will just get on their nerves. It's just like a broken record you know, which never stops playing #－.－)
Ukes are getting raped by their semes since the 90s or even earlier. But back then i've never seen so many rants about it
Yeah I also wanted to rape an uke but then I remembered all the bitching here, therefore I controlled my urge and took things slow like shoujo manga's ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

Most of them despise rape but worshipping mangas like Hidoku Shinaide, did they forgot how it started? Blackmailing and rape. But its sexy because Maya is hot right?

I hate rape, but I can tolerate it if it adds substance to a story (not: a guy falling in love with his rapist (romanticized), rapist saying his victim seduced him and he should take responsibility, sexual assault completely overlooked, etc. )
Every time I read a manga that has a rape scene, people would always say that its wrong, it shouldn't be taken lightly, its a serious issue in the real world, etc.
I personally don't care about it because its a manga, its not real. No real person was harm. Its not generalizing rape in my opinion. Its a fake story.
Please share your opinions about it and also try be civil. I really do want to understand other peoples' opinion regarding this issue in a manga.
