No, every mental disorder is not similar. Saying all mental disorders are similar is like saying cancer and diabetes are the similar because they're diseases that both negatively effect the body. But cancer and diabetes are completely different diseases, with different symptoms and different effects on the body, the same goes for mental disorders.
No it's like comparing cancer to diabetes. For example, tell me the unifying characteristics, if any, of bulimia, ADHD, and schizophrenia.
